Your Summer CEO Reset Checklist

Recharge without letting your business skip a beat!

A little slice of heaven — the view from our honeymoon suite in Italy

Summer’s calling and as a small business owner, it can feel tricky to step away without worrying that something will slip through the cracks. But here’s the truth: a little intention (and some smart systems) go a long way in helping your biz run on autopilot while you actually unplug.

Here’s how to reset your mind, your systems, and your energy, so you come back refreshed and ready to crush Q3.

Trash, Trim, and Transfer

Start with a clean slate using this 3-part system:

  • Trash: Eliminate outdated offers, clunky processes, or anything you’re doing just because “you always have.” If it doesn’t serve your business anymore, it’s out.
  • Trim: Look at what’s left — what can be simplified or streamlined? Think email templates, automations, or a cleaner calendar.
  • Transfer: Delegate what doesn’t need your touch. Whether it’s outsourcing admin tasks or handing off social media scheduling, freeing up your time is the goal.

Need help seeing what’s working and what’s dragging you down?

Take the Business Health Check Quiz to get a custom snapshot of your biz’s strengths and blind spots.

It’ll help you prioritize what to clean up, systemize, or delegate next.

Let Tools Do the Heavy Lifting

You don’t have to be “always on” to keep things moving. Automate and simplify with tools that make your biz run in the background:

  • Superhuman: Reclaim your inbox with lightning-fast email workflows and automation.
  • Flodesk: Set up email sequences that nurture leads and welcome new clients, without lifting a finger.
  • Airtable: Keep track of tasks, clients, and campaigns all in one organized place.
  • OneUp: Batch-schedule content so your social media stays active while you're sipping something cold poolside.

Intentional Rest = Productive You

Yes, you can slow down and stay aligned with your goals. Intentional rest isn’t slacking, it’s strategy. When you pause to reset, you give your brain the space to refocus, make clearer decisions, and get creative again.

In my podcast, EP47: From Cold to Calm: Cold Plunges and Salt Baths for Business Success, I dive into how salt baths and cold plunges (yes, really!) have helped me avoid burnout while staying sharp in business. If you’ve been running on fumes, this one’s a must-listen.

Your Reset Checklist

This summer, give yourself the gift of white space. The kind that fuels your next big move. Your business doesn’t need you 24/7, it just needs better systems
