Everywhere you turn, everyone is telling you to do more in your influencer business.
You need to do better SEO.
You need to take an Instagram class.
You need to engage more.
You need to do pods, you shouldn’t do pods.
You need to do more live events. You need to go to conferences.
You need to work with this developer, you need to use this theme.
I could go on, and on, and on about the things that everyone says you need to do more in your business.
While these people have the best intentions, when you’re running a business and adding these things on top of what you’re already doing, you might not be doing things that are contributing to the bottom line in your business to begin with.
When you add these extra things on, these things become distractions. You’re not working within your zone of genius.
That zone of genius is where you should be sending the most time in your business but it’s so easy to get distracted by all of these other things that people are telling you that you need to be doing.
Instead of doing more, more, more, you should be creating systems around the things that are working for you.
Being able to audit your business and say okay, as a blogger, these are the things that I do that are really contributing to the bottom line.
For the things that are not contributing to your bottom line, cut those things out.
From here, you’ll have the systems and automation in place so you can ramp that up as much as you want. You’ll then be able to be much more efficient in the things that need to get done and the things that impact your bottom line.
You’ll be able to manage the things that are on your plate more efficiently when you have these systems and organization in place.
When you slow down and create these systems around your zone of genius, you’ll have a to-do list that won’t feel like work.
You’ll be able to do the things that excite you and that you enjoy.
Creating videos. Brainstorming content. Working with brands. Engaging with your followers.
These are the things you’ll have the headspace to work on and create when you have systems and organization in place around the core things that keep your business going.
When that all happens, I guarantee you that you’ll feel so much lighter.
You’ll wake up in the morning and you’ll look at your to-do list, you’ll look at your calendar, and will say “these are the things I need to do today and I’m excited.”
A lot of your everyday tasks will then be able to be automated or offloaded to other people so that they’re getting done, but it’s not being done by you. You’re staying in your zone of genius and what you’re really good at.
With systems and organization, you’ll also be a lot more impactful with your message and with the content you create because you are not distracted.
All of the operations of your business are systematized, and you have some sort of organization pattern of how things get done.
Your brain is more clear and then when you put that content out, people are actually engaging with it.
It’s clear, it’s clean, it’s focused.
Your content will really shine through that you know what the heck you’re talking about and people will gravitate towards it more. This means more views, more partnerships, and your influence will be that much bigger.
A year from now, what will your business look?
You’ll have more impact on people. You’ll be in that CEO role. You’ll be able to do all of this without feeling overwhelmed about what’s happening in your business.
With this systematization and organization, it’ll be easy to answer these questions about all of the different aspects of your business.
You’ll know how all of the different things that people tell you to do more of will align with your business so they make sense. The things that don’t make sense? They’ll be cut out.
A year from now, you’ll know I’m super clear, this is something that I want to add as an asset to my business and that it makes sense.
You’ll be excited about your business again. You’ll feel the passion you felt when you first started your business every single day.
Always cheering you on,
Kate
